Changing the world takes resources. Creating those resources takes skill.
Not just the skill of figuring out how to make money to support your goals, but also developing your big idea, getting it out into the world, and making it stick. All while staying true to the social, environmental, educational, or community issue you set out to make a difference in.
Think of the entrepreneurs that have successfully chosen to create products and services that reduce negative environmental impact or increase access to jobs, resources, education and health for the least-served among us – not just add to their own bottom line. They all have the skills.
And through their example, the possibility of blending money and meaning, income and impact, doesn’t seem so hard or unique anymore. Instead it becomes the norm. The norm for entrepreneurs and individuals, like you, that want to make a positive impact and contribute to a just and prosperous future for the communities you work in and with.
As a purpose-driven entrepreneur, you can have a powerful and sustained impact on the world; the trick is in developing the skills and know-how to do it, and having the determination to see your venture through. This is what I have set out to help you achieve.

About Stormy
Hi! I’m Stormy Sweitzer, chief idea activator around here.
As a child, I recycled everything that my father would let me, was a Sunday morning relief organization fundomercial-junkie, and preferred reading about foreign lands and being outside to playing with dolls.
As a young adult, I acted on my concerns and curiosities by learning languages, studying economics and public health, and joining the Peace Corps. It was as a Peace Corps volunteer that I developed the start-up bug, creating a resource center to support nongovernmental organizations in the former Soviet Union and then helping individuals turn their ideas for social or environmental good into operating, funded organizations.
Later, as an intrapreneur, trainer, consultant, and entrepreneur (with background in health, green business, technology, education and consulting), I developed experience starting or helping start businesses and nonprofit organizations; working within each organization type to conceptualize, plan for, and manage the development of new service and product offerings, such as training programs and workshops, resource guides, projects-in-a-box, tool kits, and customer engagement models, and to develop the operating frameworks to support them; and doing so on limited resources. I have also experienced the excitement and fulfillment of successful efforts, as well as the cost and energy-zapping consequences of ill-conceived plans and implementations.
Today, I draw on these experiences, as well as a combination of creative problem-solving and analytical techniques, to help enterprising nonprofits and social entrepreneurs create viable revenue streams to support their change-the-world goals.
