the Cupboards = Exotic Trail Mix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was making a shopping list this morning and realized I had dribs and drabs of certain ingredients, and way too much of others (i.e., they\u2019ve been sitting around for a while and need to be used).\u00a0 This is a common theme in my cooking life.<\/p>\n<p>I had about a \u00bc cup each of hulled raw pumpkin seeds and shelled pistachios.\u00a0 In abundance are the dried goji berries I got a deal on and then forgot, as well as some dried white mulberries I found at the Persian grocery and then didn\u2019t know what to do with.\u00a0 Turns out that mulberries taste great with walnuts.\u00a0 So, logically, I took the easy route and just threw them all together in a bowl, winding up with an exotic trail mix.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I think the combination is great \u2013 both in taste and appearance.\u00a0 The mulberries are very sweet, so they play nicely with the goji \u2013 particularly when tempered by the various nut and seed flavors.<\/p>\n<p>I will definitely be repeating this combination and taking it on hiking trips this summer.<\/p>\n<p><style>\n    #zrdn-recipe-container
